In Mexico, sicario means hitman. In the lawless border area stretching between the U.S. and Mexico, an idealistic FBI agent is enlisted by an elite government task force official to aid in the escalating war against drugs. Led by an enigmatic consultant with a questionable past, the team sets out on a clandestine journey forcing Kate to question everything that she believes in order to survive.

Sicario is an intense thriller about the world of the Mexican cartel and the underground tunnels out west.

Kate (Emily Blunt) finds herself in a career can’t miss opportunity when she accidentally discovers a cartel safe house. But she quickly questions the morals and ethics of the CIA when she discovers what length she must go to to take down the cartel.

    Starting Benecio Del Toro
    Josh Brolin
    *Jon Bernthal

*connotation as starring or even as an actor is questionable at best.

*Bernthal was not really harmed in the making of this film.

This was ranked in the top 20 for 2015 by rotton tomatoes and I would tend to agree with that. It’s a great take on the Mexican border drug trade/cartels. It starts off with a “bang” and I really love some of the dialogue between Del Toro/Brolin/Blunt. Also, I’m a big fan of specific “scenes” within movies-sometimes more than the movie itself. This movie contains one of those “scenes” that I will look forward to watching again in the future. This isn’t a non-stop action flick but it has a good mix of character development, drama, and also good old-fashioned violence. Well done, “A-“

great solid movie. no real complaints. It all came togeather real well. I see what you’re saying about “scenes”. one of the few movies you could stop and start without going back to the beginning.

        I give it an A
